We love New York!

RWTG will present a dramatic reading of the stage play God of Carnage, by Yasmina Reza, at the upcoming Annual Meeting of the American Group Psychotherapy Association in New York City on March 12, 20012. God of Carnage illuminates themes of authority, ethical leadership and democratic processes when two couples come together to redress an act of violence involving their eleven-year-old sons that occurred earlier that day on their school’s playground. A moderated discussion to explore the relevance of these themes to group therapy practice, organizational life and societies-at-large will follow the reading. The reading will be co-directed by Bob Schulte and Rob Williams and the cast will feature members of the RWTG.

This production marks the 10th anniversary of play presentations at group therapy conferences by RWTG. Our first presentation was a reading of ‘ART’ by Yazmina Reza at the Mid-Atlantic Group Psychotherapy Society 2002 Fall Conference. The presentation featured John Dluhy, John Thomas and Bernard Murphy and was directed by Bob Schulte. We’re delighted to again be presenting a play by Yasmina Reza.
